A surgeon has the responsibility to inform patients of the risks, which include infection, allergic reaction to the anesthesia, lumpiness, mottling of the skin, hematoma or seroma, cording, numbness, asymmetry and overall dissatisfaction with the results. However, when a person goes to a qualified and experienced cosmetic surgeon, complications are rare.
