The potential side effects of dermal fillers most notably include itching, skin rash, and temporary acne. The results of dermal and facial fillers should last at least nine months but can last as long as 18 months in some cases.
There may be some slight discomfort for a few days after the dermal and facial fillers are administered. Patients often report the face feeling sore and slightly numb, but the symptoms should go away within a few days. The plastic surgeon should provide aftercare instructions, which may include avoiding heat and sun exposure to the face and instructions for washing the face properly.

On the flip side, if plastic surgery is reconstructive-based then it may be to help improve function, which could be seen as essential.
In the case of dermal and facial fillers, though these procedures are not really essential, many people can, however, benefit greatly from getting either. Aesthetics can be improved, which can, in turn, make the patient feel more confident in their appearance.
