How are Liposuction and Renuvion™/J-Plasma® Used Together?

liposuction Schaumburg, IL

When you get liposuction, there is always a chance there will be some loose skin remaining, especially if a large quantity of fat is removed from the area. This loose skin is caused by your skin being stretched by the excess fat.

If the area being treated is the abdomen, some plastic surgeons try to rectify this problem with a tummy tuck. During this procedure, an incision is made and the excess fat is removed. The procedure can leave a scar behind.

A tummy tuck is an invasive surgical treatment. It makes the recovery process much longer and the patient has to get another surgery in addition to liposuction. Fortunately, there is a newer, better way to deal with the loose skin that is sometimes a side effect of liposuction.

How Renuvion™/J-Plasma® is combined with liposuction

This treatment uses subdermal plasma energy to rejuvenate and tighten areas of the body. It can be used to eliminate loose skin on various parts of the body and the loose skin that is often left behind when significant amounts of fat are removed from parts of a patient's body.

It is a minimally invasive procedure that does not require any incisions, yet it produces comparable results to tummy tucks.

How Renuvion™/J-Plasma® works

This technique uses cold plasma energy that is focused under the patient's skin to sculpt, tighten and rejuvenate stretched out skin. It creates fast results without the complications that come with surgical procedures.

The plasma energy causes a contraction of the loose skin and it tightens and shrinks skin cells. It is performed using a cannula – a thin tube – that has a warmed tip. It is inserted under the patient's skin so it comes in contact with fat cells. The treatment uses a waveform to convert helium into a cold atmospheric plasma.  The treatment takes approximately an hour for each area being worked on.

The patient will experience some soreness and tightness after the procedure, but they should be able to return to their regular activities within a day after getting the treatments. Renuvion™/J-plasma® can be used to tighten skin all over the body including:

1. The chin

Using surgical procedures to extract fat from the chin can be dangerous since there are many important arteries in the area. Renuvion™/J-plasma® provides a safe alternative that can tighten the skin around a patient's skin and reduce fat deposits.

2. The abdomen

Renuvion™/J-Plasma® can be used to craft the highly-coveted six-pack abs. The skin on a person's belly might appear damaged and stretched out after liposuction, but this treatment can be used to tighten the skin, thus revealing the muscles in the abdomen. Most people have six-pack abs, but have theirs covered up by layers of fat.

3. The midsection

Renuvion™/J-Plasma® can be used to tighten the skin in many other areas of the body like the back, hips, arms, stomach and legs. The process can be used on any part of the body without the potential to damage important blood vessels and organs.

Renuvion™/J-Plasma® gives you an easier way to tighten loose skin
