Breast Augmentation Can Restore Curves After Weight Loss

Losing weight can have drawbacks, including shrinking breasts and the need for a breast augmentation. Fortunately, this procedure can be done in a way that can restore breasts to their natural shape - pre-weight loss. Knowing this, many younger women are visiting us for help after becoming physically fit has had the unfortunate result of losing their curves.

The weight loss craze is generally a positive thing because it has the ability to improve people's health. After all, eating healthy and exercising is good or how old you are. It can help to improve heart health, reduce the risk for diabetes and other diseases, and even give a person more energy. It just is not good for maintaining curves. Therefore, in many cases, women are choosing plastic surgery.

Stay healthy, even if the curves go away

We can add the curves back in using a breast augmentation. This allows our patients to continue their healthy routines while still enjoying curves that make them feel attractive. In other words, it is possible to eat a low-calorie diet, become a vegan, or spend the afternoons in the gym and still look curvy in all the right places. It just requires surgical help. After all, it is not natural for the body to be curvy and shapely in areas like the breast and buttocks while being a size zero everywhere else. We understand this and so do most of our patients. This is why the combination of diet, exercise and plastic surgery works so well.

The right size breasts

Also, it is important to remember that a breast augmentation does not need to be designed to create huge breasts. In many cases, our patients actually want a full B or C cup because they want curves, but natural looking ones. For example, women who are very thin may feel that something larger than a B would look synthetic. We understand these concerns and can help our patients to select the size implant that they will feel comfortable living with on a daily basis. We always want our patients to be pleased with the results and right-sizing the implants is an important part of that.

A breast lift is another possibility

Some women do not need to enlarge their breasts. Instead, they need to lift them. We help a lot of patients who, after losing weight, find that their breasts are not as perky as they used to be. This can happen and when it does the skin and tissue can begin to sag. In this case, we will conduct an examination to determine if it would be better to perform a breast lift or an augmentation. Selecting the correct procedure is important for ensuring the results are what a patient is really looking for.
